Family Hub is developed by Blue Sky Ventures of Denver NC. Family Hub is designed to help families organize household information while keeping that information private and under the control of the family using the app.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Family Hub uses, where that information is stored, how it may be shared, and the choices available to users.
Family Hub is designed around a simple principle: your family information belongs to your family.
Family Hub does not use Custom Tasks Apps-operated servers to store your household information.
Household information created in Family Hub is designed to be stored locally on your Apple device and/or in Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services associated with your household.
Custom Tasks Apps does not maintain a separate server database containing copies of your Family Hub household information.
Certain optional features may send limited information to another service when necessary to provide that specific feature. Those situations are described below.
Depending on the features your household chooses to use, Family Hub may contain information such as:
Family member names
Birthdays
Phone numbers and email addresses
Family calendar events
Vehicle information
Vehicle identification numbers (VINs)
Vehicle mileage
Maintenance records
Maintenance receipts
Maintenance requests
Home repair information
Home repair receipts and photos
Birthday wishlists
Christmas wishlists
Grocery requests
Chores and completion status
Important phone numbers
Family messages
Photos and documents voluntarily added by users
This information is designed to remain on the user’s Apple devices and/or within Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure.
Custom Tasks Apps does not operate a separate cloud database for storing Family Hub household content.
Family information is designed to be stored:
Locally on supported Apple devices
In the household’s Apple iCloud and CloudKit environment
In shared CloudKit records made available to invited household members
This means Custom Tasks Apps does not maintain a central database containing copies of family calendars, wishlists, vehicle history, chores, grocery requests, messages, receipts, home repair records, or similar household information.
Information voluntarily sent directly to Custom Tasks Apps for support, such as an email sent to customtasks1@gmail.com, is separate from Family Hub household data.
Family Hub uses Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit technologies as its primary cloud storage and synchronization system.
The person who creates a Family Hub household may become the owner of the household’s shared CloudKit information.
Invited family members may receive access to shared household records through Apple’s CloudKit sharing technologies.
Family Hub does not automatically provide access to household information simply because someone downloads the app.
Users must be invited to a household and successfully accept the invitation before shared household information becomes available to them.
Use of iCloud and CloudKit is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
Family Hub may maintain local copies or cached information on your device to provide faster access, offline functionality, synchronization, and normal app operation.
Local information remains subject to the security protections of your Apple device.
If a device is lost, sold, or transferred to another person, users should follow Apple’s recommended procedures for removing personal information from the device.
Parent or Administrator users may invite family members using either:
A phone number
An email address
The phone number or email address is used to help identify and send the family invitation.
Receiving a Family Hub App Store link does not provide access to a household.
The invited person must successfully accept the household invitation before Family Hub provides access to shared household information.
Family invitation information is not used by Custom Tasks Apps for advertising or marketing.
Family Hub includes different user roles.
Parent or Administrator users may have permissions to manage household settings, family members, shared features, vehicles, chores, requests, and other household information.
Kid or User accounts may have more limited permissions.
Depending on household settings, Kid users may be able to perform actions such as completing assigned chores, managing their own wishlists, submitting grocery requests, viewing approved family information, or participating in family messages.
Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding who they invite and what access they provide to minor family members.
Family Hub may request permission to use your camera or photo library when you choose to use features involving photos, documents, or scanning.
Examples may include:
Odometer photos
Vehicle receipts
VIN labels
Home repair receipts
Home repair photos
Schedules
Flyers
Invitations
Wishlist items
Product barcodes
Family Hub does not require you to use camera-assisted features where manual entry is available.
Camera and photo permissions can be changed at any time through your Apple device settings.
Family Hub includes assisted scanning and recognition tools intended to reduce manual data entry.
These tools may help identify information such as:
Dates
Times
Event names
Vehicle mileage
VINs
Receipt amounts
Maintenance performed
Product names
Barcodes
Home repair information
Calendar events
Where supported, Family Hub is designed to use Apple-provided image recognition, Vision, and on-device intelligence technologies.
Automated recognition can make mistakes.
Family Hub is designed to present detected or suggested information for user review before that information is saved as permanent household data.
Users are responsible for reviewing scanned or automatically suggested information before saving or relying on it.
Family Hub allows authorized household members to store and manage medication-related information for family members. This information may include medication name, strength or dosage, directions, frequency, prescriber, pharmacy, prescription number, quantity, days supply, refill date, and user-entered notes.
Parent/Admin users may view and manage medication records for child or member profiles within their household. Kid/User accounts may view and manage only their own medication records.
Family Hub may allow a user to take a photo of, or select a photo containing, a prescription label. With the user's permission, the image is analyzed using on-device Apple technologies to identify text and create a proposed medication entry. Extracted information may include medication name, strength, directions or frequency, prescription details, quantity, days supply, and refill information when available on the label.
Scanning results are suggestions only. The user must review and confirm the information before it is saved. Prescription images used solely for scanning are not retained by Family Hub after processing.
Medication information that a user confirms and saves may be stored using Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services so it can be available on the user's devices and to authorized members of that Family Hub household according to household roles and permissions.
Users may choose to create refill reminders based on dates and times they confirm in Family Hub. These reminders are organizational reminders only. Family Hub does not contact a pharmacy, prescriber, insurer, or healthcare provider and does not independently verify whether a prescription is eligible for refill.
Blue Sky Ventures of DENVER NC, LLC does not sell medication or health information or use it for advertising, marketing, or tracking.
If you choose VIN-assisted vehicle setup, the VIN you provide may be sent to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Product Information Catalog, commonly known as NHTSA vPIC.
The VIN may be used to retrieve available information such as:
Model year
Make
Model
Body style
Trim
Only the information necessary to perform the VIN lookup is intended to be transmitted for this feature.
Manual vehicle entry is available if you do not want to use VIN-assisted decoding.
Use of the NHTSA service may also be subject to that service’s own policies and practices.
Family Hub may store vehicle and maintenance information such as:
VIN
Year
Make
Model
Mileage
Maintenance history
Maintenance reminders
Maintenance requests
Service receipts
Registration-related information
Photos
Vehicle information is stored as household information and is intended to remain within the household’s device and iCloud environment except when a specific feature requires an external service, such as VIN decoding.
Family Hub may provide vehicle maintenance alerts based on information entered by users.
For example, the app may notify household members when a vehicle approaches a mileage-based maintenance interval.
Maintenance reminders are provided for organizational convenience only.
Users should follow manufacturer recommendations and qualified professional advice when making vehicle maintenance or safety decisions.
Family Hub may store calendar information entered manually or prepared from photographs of schedules, flyers, invitations, or similar documents.
Calendar information may include:
Event name
Date
Time
Location
Notes
Assigned family members
Recurring-event information
Calendar information prepared by assisted scanning should be reviewed before it is saved.
Family Hub may store birthday information for household members.
Birthday information may be used to display upcoming birthdays and related reminders within the household.
Family Hub allows household members to create birthday and Christmas wishlists.
Wishlist information may include:
Item name
Description
Brand
Size
Color
Price
Photo
Barcode
Shopping link
Notes
Wishlist information may be visible to other authorized household members according to the app’s permissions and household settings.
Family Hub may store information related to home repairs and household maintenance.
This may include:
Repair descriptions
Repair status
Photos
Contractor or service-provider information
Receipts
Costs
Warranty information
Completion dates
Notes
Completed repair records may remain in the household’s repair history until deleted by an authorized user.
Family Hub may store chore information including:
Chore name
Assigned family member
Due date
Due time
Repeat schedule
Completion status
Reminder preferences
Parents may choose to enable automatic reminders that continue until a chore is marked complete.
When a chore is completed, remaining reminders associated with that occurrence are intended to stop.
Family Hub may allow household members to create grocery requests.
Information may include:
Item name
Want or Need designation
Quantity
Category
Priority
Brand
Size
Notes
Photo
Barcode
Requesting household member
Request status
Grocery information is shared only within the household according to the app’s permissions.
Family Hub may allow households to store frequently used contact information such as:
Doctors
Dentists
Schools
Insurance companies
Roadside assistance
Utilities
Veterinarians
Emergency contacts
Other service providers
Users should only store information they are comfortable sharing with authorized members of their household.
Family Hub may provide communication features for authorized household members.
These may include:
Family-wide announcements
Group conversations
Direct messages
Messages are intended to remain within the invited Family Hub household and associated iCloud environment.
Custom Tasks Apps does not operate a separate messaging server containing copies of household messages.
Users are responsible for the content they choose to send.
Family Hub may use Apple notification services for features such as:
Chore reminders
Vehicle maintenance reminders
Calendar reminders
Household alerts
Other enabled notifications
Notification delivery depends on device permissions and Apple services.
Users can change notification permissions through iPhone or iPad Settings.
Family Hub may offer a free trial, auto-renewable subscription, one-time purchase, or other in-app purchase.
Purchases, subscription billing, renewals, cancellations, and payment processing are handled through Apple and the App Store.
Custom Tasks Apps does not receive your complete payment card number or other full payment-card credentials from Apple.
Apple may provide limited transaction information necessary to determine whether a user has an active subscription or purchase entitlement.
Family Hub does not use third-party advertising as part of the app experience.
Blue Sky Ventures of Denver NC does not sell Family Hub household information to advertisers.
Family Hub is not designed to use family information for targeted advertising.
Family Hub is not designed to track household activity for advertising purposes.
If analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostic services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain:
What information is collected
Why it is collected
Which service receives it
Whether the information can be associated with a user
Household information will not be sold for advertising purposes.
Family Hub is designed as a household application that may include minor family members under the supervision of parents or guardians.
Parents or guardians are responsible for:
Inviting minor users
Managing their permissions
Supervising their use of Family Hub
Determining which household information minors can access
Family Hub is not designed to allow unknown users to independently enter or browse another household.
Information entered into shared Family Hub areas may be visible to other authorized members of the household.
Users should only enter information they are comfortable sharing with household members who have access.
Parent and Administrator users are responsible for managing household membership and permissions.
If a family member should no longer have access, a Parent or Administrator should remove or disable that member’s access through the available Family Hub controls.
Family Hub household information remains stored on supported devices and/or within the applicable iCloud and CloudKit environment until it is deleted, replaced, or otherwise removed through Family Hub or Apple services.
Custom Tasks Apps does not maintain a separate archive of household information on Custom Tasks Apps servers.
Some deleted information may remain temporarily in Apple synchronization, backup, or recovery systems according to Apple’s own policies and technical processes.
Authorized users may delete supported household information through Family Hub.
Depending on the user’s permissions, this may include:
Calendar events
Vehicle information
Maintenance records
Wishlists
Grocery requests
Chores
Home repair records
Messages
Other household content
After deletion, changes may require time to synchronize across household devices through iCloud.
Parent or Administrator users may remove or disable household members using the available family-management controls.
Removing a household member is intended to stop future access to the household through Family Hub.
Because access is also managed through Apple iCloud and CloudKit sharing technologies, some changes may require synchronization through Apple services.
Family Hub is intended to provide a way for the household owner or authorized administrator to remove household information when it is no longer needed.
Final deletion behavior will depend on the production version of Family Hub and Apple CloudKit synchronization.
Instructions for deleting an entire Family Hub household will be available in the app and/or through Family Hub Support before public release.
